Wonderful Nature?

Wonderful Nature?

See Think Wonder

1. What do you see?

2. What do you think is going on?

3. What does it make you wonder?

These incredibly clever little archer fish of southeast Asia use specially adapted tongues to form powerful jets of liquid to knock bugs off leaves. No spider, beetle or fly that comes too close to the water is safe from these sharpshooters, who soak the insects so they fall into the pool to be gobbled up.

And if all else fails, they’ll leap for their dinner.

These pictures are on Miss Cooks blog too! Before I didnt know what these pictures were about but now I do because I read the description at the top! 🙂
I can see different sorts of fish, Green plants/yellowish coloured leaves, rocks.
I think that the fish is trying to get the bugs off the leaves at the top of the water because the descripton gives me a bit of a better idea of what actually is going on. It is one cheeky smart little fish. 😀
Is the fish jumping? If yes, is that how it gets its dinner?
I think I can see a spider on a leaf in one of the pictures. If it is, I have learnt that fish eat spiders! 😀 What kind of l;iquid do they use to knock the bugs off their leaves?
I might have to do some reasearch……:)

I can see different sorts and colours of fish. Greenish yellowish leaves on rocks. I think the fish is trying to get his dinner by squriting the water really strongly. If he doesnt get his dinner will the fish jump and try to get his dinner. How far can the fish jump up? I would like to do some reseach on the fish. 🙂
