Inspirational Hem’s Loft in Whistler

Hems Loft

  1. What feelings do you have after experiencing this?
  2. How were you made to feel this way?
  3. What would you like to do with these feelings?

Treehouse of the Day: Joel Allen built the HemLoft — “a secret treehouse hiding in the woods of Whistler” — in 2009, and it served as a private retreat for him and his girlfriend for several summers. But ever since Allen went public with his creation in Dwell Magazine, the HemLoft’s future is uncertain — turns out, it was built on Crown land. “If the wrong people find it, they may make me take it down,” Allen said. Until then, he’s welcoming visitors.

I would love to have a secret treehouse in the woods like if you want to do your homework you can go to the treehouse and be left alone to do your homework.

I wish that was near Traralgon so we can visit it. Mrs Joyce that would of been a wonderful place for our secret hideout for he book finish this book. He has done and awesome job and he must be pique that they want to take it down. I ash that we could help him in some way. He must like the environment because he doesn’t hurt the animals or any of the plants at all. When he did take a shower he used the waterfall and didn’t use soap to hurt the environment.

Oh my gosh I agree that it is inspirational. I am hurring to do my other homework. 🙂
I would love to have a house like that by myself. It is deffanately hidden. You probberly have to go miles to go there. Not litterally. He made a ver good choice of where to put it because not many people would go on the paticular path to go to his hidden house and you can see some interesting wildlife. He is very green as in nature. The way he actuallt took his showers and the way the treehouse was built looks very good for the world and it cant hurt nature. The way I look at the hidden house, it actually looks like it is made from recycleble wood.

I think that this would be a spectacular place to chill and have tea and stay for the night this is so inspirational and he didn’t use any chemicals that infected and harmed the enviromnent wich is a really smart choice and he just did what he wanted without harming anyone or anything. I like the idea how its hidden and he has his own special way of getting there I would love to have something like this and yes Heidie it does look like it’s been made out of recycled wood and some recycled glass and stuff like that so yeah this would be so abulous :).
