Maths: Showing and Interpreting Data


Today 3/4J we are going to put all our learning together and display it for the school to see. We will prepare the data as a grade and then you will do the following:

  1. Show a tally table
  2. Prepare a strip graph using the data
  3. Turn the strip graph into a bar graph or a pie graph
  4. Write a summary about what the data is explaining.

We have not completed much learning about reading and interpreting the data so I will have some explicit teaching to help you along the way. Here are some examples of what you work will look like.
