Today I has the privilege to see the students in my classroom feature in a Melbourne newspaper. A newspaper that is read nationally and internationally.
As the message filters out to help our returned services deal with returning from war. I took the opportunity to teach the students in my class about compassion and empathy. My brother fought in the war in Iraq and the Solomon Islands, he’s now sick with PTSD. I am so proud of him. Proud of the challenges he faced on deployment, on returning home and everyday since. He is the best brother, father to his son, and role model for our youth. <y class loved Andrew visiting and can not wait to see him again. Everyone should take a selfie and salute to support our soldiers #selfiesalute.
Here is the article that shown brightly in todays Herald Sun Supporting a very worthy cause. Congratulations to my students, I am so proud of them.
